It's no Sonic Cruiser...
But at least the new Boeing 787 Dreamliner looks a little bit more like the future. The curved wings are pretty, doubtless the result of computer modeling combined with composite materials and I suspect the development of refined supercritical wings. While I'd really prefer four engines, at least it doesn't look like it's suffering from a glandular disorder.

Ha! The Airbus cries because it's true . . . .
And, yes, the curved wings are a lovely touch. Mind you, it's still got the silhouette of a tube of toothpaste, but I suppose there's no way to avoid that without losing your teeming hordes of surly businessmen.
